A friend sent me this story this morning.. It demonstrates charity without degradation, and kindness without coddling.. I don’t know the source of the story, but here you are:

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes. I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean,hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas.

I paid for my potatoes but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes.
Pondering the peas, I couldn’t help overhearing the conversation between20Mr.. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

Just when I think all the bugs are shook out of the rug and the skeletons in the closest are finally buried, something else comes up regarding Governor Palin.. Off the top of my head I’m aware that:

She hired a lobbyist, when mayor of Wasilla, to generate $27,000,000.00 dollars of Federal earmarks for Wasilla. This is more than any other city per capita in the nation; at the same time she is campaigning on being against earmarks. She was for that Bridge to no where (in actuality there were 2), until there was an outcry from Congress. Then she has kept the initial allocation for the bridges in the Alaska treasury.; Now she claims she said “no thank you” to the bridge projects. Palin is murky about sex education, believing in teaching contraception and but doesn’t say what kind (abstinence only is a form of contraception).
